This policy describes how Affiliated Acceptance Corporation, its affiliates, and third party service providers (“AAC”) delivers communications to you electronically. AAC may amend this policy at any time by posting a revised version on our website. The revised version will be effective at the time it is posted. If the revised version includes a substantial change, AAC will provide 30 days’ prior notice by posting a notice on AAC’s website.

Your agreement to this E-Sign Disclosure and Consent Policy (“Consent”) confirms your ability and consent to receive certain communications, notices, agreements, billing statements, or disclosures in electronic form rather than in writing or on paper (“Communications”) regarding AAC’s products and services (“Services”). If you choose not to agree to this Consent or withdraw your consent, you may be restricted from using the Services.

After reading, you should print a copy of this Consent and retain for your records.

Electronic Delivery of Communications and Use of Electronic Signatures

Under this Consent, AAC may provide all Communications electronically by email, by text message, or by making them accessible via AAC websites or applications. Communications include, but are not limited to:

  • Agreements and policies required to use the Services (e.g. this Consent, the AAC Privacy Policy and the AAC Terms of Service);
  • Payment authorizations and transaction receipts or confirmations; and/or
  • Account statements and history.

We may also use electronic signatures and obtain them from you. You agree your electronic signature is the legal equivalent of your manual signature. You further agree that your use of a key pad, mouse or other device to select an item, button, icon or similar act/action, or to otherwise provide AAC, or in accessing or making any transaction regarding any agreement, acknowledgment, consent terms, disclosures or conditions constitutes your signature (“E-Signature”), acceptance and agreement as if actually signed by you in writing. You also agree that no certification authority or other third party verification is necessary to validate your E-Signature and that the lack of such certification or third party verification will not in any way affect the enforceability of your E-Signature or any resulting contract.

Accuracy and Accessibility

It is your responsibility to provide us with true, accurate and complete information including your email address, contact information or any other information related to this Consent and your account(s). If any of the information you provide to AAC changes, it is your responsibility to maintain and update your account information promptly by contacting us at 1-800-233-8483 or using the AAC website.

System Requirements

To access and retain the electronic Communications, you will need the following:

  • A computer or mobile device with Internet or mobile connectivity.
  • For website-based Communications, a current web browser that includes 128-bit encryption. Minimum recommended browser standards are Microsoft Internet Explorer version 10.0 and above, Mozilla Firefox current version, Apple Safari current version, or Chrome current version.
  • The browser must have cookies enabled.
  • Access to the email address used to create an account for AAC Services.
  • Sufficient storage space to save Communications and/or a printer to print them.

If you use a spam filter that blocks or re-routes emails from senders not listed in your email address book, you should whitelist the affiliated.org domain to ensure you receive Communication.

Paper Delivery of Communications

You may request a paper version of Communications at no cost to you. To request a paper copy of any Communication, please call or write to the address below within 180 days of the date of the Communication, specifying in detail the Communication you would like to receive:

Withdrawal of Consent to Electronic Communications

You may withdraw your consent to receive electronic Communications at any time, by writing to the AAC Address. However, withdrawal of your consent to receive electronic Communications may result in termination of your access to Services. Any withdrawal of your consent will be effective after a reasonable period of time for processing your request.
